Abstract The Heap Folk Art Monopoly papers accompanied the museum’s acquisition of the John O. Heap Folk Art Monopoly game board, c. 1914. These papers include photographs, copies of the game design sheet and playing rules, and deposition-related documentation. The bulk of these materials are from 1975.

Abstract The LeRoy Howard papers are a compilation of business papers, patents, notes, and published game instructions from a former executive at Parker Brothers, Inc. The bulk of the materials are dated from 1930 through 1952.

Lesser papers are a compilation of technical documentation, notes, memos, and other information related to the programming of Mattel Electronics’ handheld games (including Auto Race, Football, and Baseball), as well as documentation for other video game designs. The bulk of the materials are dated between 1976 and 1978.

Abstract The Philip E. Orbanes papers are a compilation of correspondence, legal contracts, newspaper articles, reference materials, research notes, game advertisements, photographs, audio files, and other papers collected and used by Philip E. Orbanes over the course of his career in the American toy and game industry. The bulk of the materials are from 1967 through 2005. Staff at The Strong recorded a video oral history of Orbanes in 2013.

Abstract The Sid Sackson collection is a compilation of diaries, correspondence, notes, game descriptions, and publications created or used by Sid Sackson during his lengthy career in the toy and game industry. The bulk of the materials are from between 1960 and 1995.

Abstract This small collection of correspondence is from William ("Bill") Tribelhorn as he requested information from several game manufacturers as well as Playthings magazine in order to find a game ("Battleship") from his childhood. These letters include details on similar games from Ben McCready at Playthings. The letters are dated between 1965 and 1966.
