Abstract

The Red Hot Island Boat Club (R.H.I.B.C.) papers contain a club constitution, a narrative of reminiscences of the club's activities, and a newsletter published "semi-once-again" by club members Theodore F. Fitch, George A. Madigan, Leigh M. Fitch, and Monroe A. Blumenstiel. Within the newsletter (titled "Hot Dog Howl") are cyanotype images of the club members. Other members noted in the narrative are Henry (Hal) H. Wickes, Chester D. Forkel, and Charles J. Madigan. The club built a boat and frequently took it down the Erie Canal towpath to Red Hot Island.
