Collection Scope and Content Note
The collection of game show set designs contains materials used in the aesthetic and technical design of television game show stage sets. The aesthetic design materials are comprised of illustrations by Ernie Marjoram which include full color illustrations, line art, and composite drawings which combine multiple viewpoints and details. Also included are photographs of live TV show tapings used as reference material, including composites constructed from multiple images.
Technical design materials include blueprints, notes, and technical drawings of stage floor plans and details, particularly from Family Feud, Love Connection, and Your Place or Mine.
Programs represented in this collection include 3's a Crowd, The Dating Game, Family Feud, The Gong Show, Lingo, Love Connection,The Newlywed Game, Wheel of Fortune, Win Ben Stein's Money, World Poker Tournament, Your Place or Mine, and much more. Some of the materials in the collection pertain to unaired pilots.
