This subseries holds interview transcripts and affidavits from people who knew the Whitman family or Charles J. Whitman. The interviews were conducted in the weeks following the UT Tower mass shooting on 8/1/1966, with later interviews done of Charles A. Whitman in 1972. Boxes 7 and 8 contain original audio-recordings on audio-cassette (though there is not a corresponding audio-cassette for each interview transcription noted in Box 2).
