Series III: Barbara Strong, 1921-c. 1980s
Scope and Content Note
Barbara Strong (10/7/1921–7/16/1946) was the daughter of Homer and Margaret Strong. She attended Andrébrook School and later Sarah Lawrence College. Barbara’s hobbies included equestrian activities and writing for her schools’ student papers. She was briefly engaged to Francis Wholley from 1941-1942. Barbara married Richard Dickinson in 1942, but the couple divorced in 1945. Barbara’s second marriage to Albert Timberman ended in 1946 when she died suddenly of pneumonia while visiting relatives in Schenectady, New York. She is buried in the Timberman family plot at the Forest Home Cemetery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
